320 hours of lectures, 200 hours of practical site workshops, 150 hours of internship, 150 hours of final dissertation
The Master’s programme of the FOP – Fondazione Opificio delle Pietre Dure – organised on a biennial basis, addresses the numerous and complex challenges of conserving and managing contemporary art, through a strongly multidisciplinary yet unified methodological approach, in keeping with the tradition of the OPD in Florence. It is open to graduates and diploma holders in conservation, art history, Cultural Heritage Science and architecture. Museums and public and private institutions contribute to the programme in various capacities, providing lectures, visits, site workshops, internships, conferences and study days. Through an extensive series of lectures, workshops, meetings with artists and museum visits, participants examine the problems of contemporary artworks in depth, strengthening their knowledge and practical skills in art history, technical and conservation studies, and scientific research.
