Marianna Cappellina graduated from the SAFS of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, obtaining the title of Cultural Heritage Conservator certified by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, with a specialisation in Goldsmithing and Glyptics. She has worked for twelve years in the conservation of moveable and monumental objects in inorganic materials, with particular attention to ancient and contemporary multi-material works. During six years as conservator in residence at the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia in Milan, she deepened her expertise in the conservation of scientific and technological objects, acquiring significant knowledge of technological and 20th-century design materials and combining it with her understanding of traditional techniques. She is also a gemologist qualified by the European Federation of Gemmologists (FEEG). She lives and works in Milan as a founding partner of the firm Oltremodo srl.
