A film historian, he graduated in Cultural Heritage Conservation from the University of Parma and since 2014 has been head of the Federico Fellini Archive at the Cineteca of the Municipality of Rimini. For many years he has carried out archival research in collaboration with museums, foundations and institutions, promoting Italian cinema and its great directors, with a particular focus on the Maestro Federico Fellini.

He is the author of books, essays and articles on cinema and contemporary art. In 2020 he contributed an essay entitled “Fellini’s Critical Reception in Italy” to the volume *A Companion to Federico Fellini*, which brings together contributions from the leading international Fellini scholars. In November 2021 his most recent book, *Fellini 70* (Bibliotheka Edizioni), was published.
