Curriculum
Isetta Tosini graduated in Biological Sciences in 1980 from the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences of the University of Florence.
She is registered with the National Order of Biologists and holds full professional qualification as a biologist.
From 1985 to 2020 she served at the Laboratory of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence as coordinating director of the Biology Laboratory, where she carried out research and developed new analytical methods and techniques. She was scientific coordinator for the textile, tapestry, paper and parchment materials sectors, and for the characterisation of wood species in sculptures and wooden supports. She continues to teach Biology at the School of Advanced Training of the Opificio and has previously taught at the Mosaic Restoration School in Ravenna.
