Curriculum
Shirin Afra graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence in 2001. In 2007 she obtained her diploma from the SAFS of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, specialising in the restoration of ceramic, plastic and glass materials.
Throughout her career she has collaborated with major civic and national museums across Italy. A freelance conservator until 2018, from December of that year she has been a conservator officer in the Ceramic, Plastic and Glass Materials Conservation Department of the OPD, where she also teaches at the SAFS and serves as Registrar of the Opificio Museum.
