Curriculum
Rodorico Giorgi, who holds a degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Science for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage from the University of Florence, is associate professor of Chemistry of Conservation at the same institution. His scientific research focuses on the physical chemistry of nanosystems and its application to the consolidation of mural paintings, the cleaning of painted surfaces, the restoration of paper books and manuscripts, and the conservation of archaeological wood.
Rodorico Giorgi has contributed to numerous international projects, including the European projects APACHE (H2020), NANORESTART (H2020), INNOVACONCRETE (H2020) and NANOFORART (EU 7th Framework). He is the author of approximately 160 publications in the field of nanoscience applied to the conservation of artistic and cultural heritage.
