The School of Advanced Training and Studies, committed to transmitting the most up-to-date conservation methodologies and to establishing productive collaborations with leading international institutions, is actively involved in international training projects through the exchange and training of students and professionals in the field. It is in this context that the SAFS participates, as a centre of excellence in conservation and restoration, in the international training project International Training Projects (ITP).

Activity information

Learning objectives

The International Training Projects (ITP) is a three-year project (2016–19) coordinated by the Directorate-General for Education and Research (DG-ER) and funded by Ales spa, aimed at promoting the centres of excellence of the MiBACT abroad through the offer of specific training programmes in the fields of cultural heritage conservation and protection, music and live performance. The programmes aim to develop skills and professional competencies in line with labour market needs and international standards, through methodologically sound approaches to all aspects of conservation practice: from preliminary research and investigation to restoration, through to preventive and planned conservation of cultural heritage.
