Born in Venice, she obtained her diploma from the School for Translators and Interpreters in Trieste and subsequently graduated in Modern Languages and Literatures from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice.
In 1981 she joined the Amici dei Musei di Venezia and became a member of the VAMI group (Volontari Associati per i Musei Italiani). In this capacity she began volunteering at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice in February 1981, creating the educational department of the museum, which was then reopening following the death of Peggy Guggenheim. She continued as a regular volunteer with the Peggy Guggenheim Collection until 1986.
In 1986 she was appointed by Palazzo Grassi spa (FIAT Group) as assistant to the artistic director (Pontus Hulten / Paolo Viti). During this period she established the exhibitions office and managed all exhibitions organised there in her capacity as exhibition officer and registrar.
In 2004 she was appointed branch director of SATTIS/Arteria (a national art transport company), establishing the Venice office, where she worked until 2006 when she was invited to join the MART in Rovereto as technical curator.
In 2008, following a specific competition run by the museum, she took up the position of registrar and subsequently collections manager, coordinating the museum’s temporary exhibitions both on site and externally. In this role she coordinates a team of five.
She has been a member of ICOM since 1989, and is also a member of Registrarte, ARCS USA and AAM USA.
