Curriculum

Born in Pisa in 1968, in 1997 she graduated in History of Applied Arts at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Pisa, with a study of a series of 17th-century Flemish tapestries. In 2001 she obtained her postgraduate diploma with research on a 15th-century cut velvet liturgical set. In 1993 she qualified in the restoration of textile materials, completing a three-year course organised by the Tuscany Region.

In 1998 she established a textile restoration and research firm together with Domenica Digilio, based primarily at the Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Mansi in Lucca. Over twenty years of activity, the firm carried out maintenance and restoration work, museum and exhibition installations, deposit management, research and study of textile art objects, consultancy, specialist cataloguing and teaching, on behalf of numerous soprintendenze, institutions and museums across Italy. In 2008, in the field of contemporary textile art, she curated the installation of a solo exhibition by the artist Attiliana Argentieri Zanetti in the rooms of Palazzo Mansi, working alongside the artist and following her directions. Since December 2018, having succeeded in a ministerial competition, she has been a member of staff at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure as a conservator officer in the Textiles department.
