Barbara Ferriani, a cultural heritage conservator, has been active since 1983, collaborating with public institutions, museums, foundations, archives and private collections. She directs the conservation studio Barbara Ferriani srl in Milan. Her activities include: coordination of the Conservation Laboratory of the Triennale Museum Design in Milan from 2010 to 2018; teaching Conservation of Contemporary Art at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice from 2009 to 2016; teaching at the Special University Teaching Structure in Sciences for the Conservation, Restoration and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage in Venaria Reale from 2016 to 2018; and currently teaching at the School of Specialisation of the Università Statale in Milan and the School of Specialisation of the Università Cattolica in Milan.
A founding member of INCCA Italia, she served as assistant coordinator of the ICOM–CC Group Modern Materials and Contemporary Art (MMCA). She was co-curator, together with Marina Pugliese and Vicente Todolì, and in collaboration with the Fondazione Lucio Fontana, of the exhibition *Lucio Fontana – Ambienti/Environments*, held at Pirelli HangarBicocca, 21 September 2017 – 25 February 2018.
