Curriculum
Having come from a classical studies background, he graduated in Architecture from the University of Florence in 2000 and obtained his professional qualification in June of the following year. In 2003 he qualified as a Cultural Heritage Conservator at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence, where in 2012 he completed a first-level master’s programme in Conservation and Restoration of Contemporary Art.
As a freelance architect and conservator, he works on museum installations, the design and execution of conservation treatments on protected heritage, and occasional teaching in technical disciplines at the OPD and at the SUSCOR in Venaria Reale.
Since December 2018 he has been a conservator officer at the Ministry of Culture in the Ceramic, Plastic and Glass Materials conservation laboratory of the Opificio, and a lecturer on the five-year diploma programme in restoration, equivalent to the master’s degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage (LMR/02) and qualifying graduates as professional cultural heritage conservators, for Professional Training Pathway 4 at the OPD School of Advanced Training and Studies, in the subjects of drawing (ICAR/17, ICAR/19), materials technology (ING-IND/11) and restoration techniques (REST/01).
