Curriculum

In 2005 he obtained his diploma as a Cultural Heritage Conservator from the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence in the Mural Paintings and Stucco department, under Prof. Cristina Danti and Prof. Roberto Lunardi, with a dissertation on the mural paintings by Paolo Uccello in Santa Maria Novella in Florence. In 1996 he obtained the qualification of Conservator of Paintings (canvas and panel) from the Vocational Training Centre of the Province of Florence, on the three-year course directed by Prof. Alessandro Conti and Prof. Alessandro Cecchi. In 1995 he obtained his diploma in Painting from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence under Prof. Giovanna dalla Chiesa and Prof. Gianfranco Notargiacomo, with a dissertation on Land Art; at the Accademia he studied conservation with Prof. Paolo Gori. He is a first-tier lecturer at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna, where he teaches subjects in the scientific-disciplinary sectors ABPR 24 and 72, pursuant to Ministerial Decree 22 January 2008, no. 482.

Cultural Heritage Conservator pursuant to Article 182, Legislative Decree 42/2004, qualified to work in the following sectors: 1) Stone, mosaic and derivative materials; 2) Decorated architectural surfaces; 3) Painted objects on wooden and textile supports. Technical Director of Habilis srl since 2007, a company holding OS2 Class III-bis certification working in cultural heritage conservation. Among projects carried out: *Saint Dominic in Adoration of the Crucifix*, fresco by Fra Angelico; Paolo Uccello’s green earth cycle in the Chiostro Verde of Santa Maria Novella, including the *Universal Flood*; the post-Byzantine apsidal mosaic of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte in Florence; consultancy for the design of the restoration of Leonardo da Vinci’s decoration of the Sala delle Asse at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan; design of carbon fibre plates for Piero della Francesca’s *Resurrection* at the Museo Civico in Sansepolcro.

Member of INCCA (International Network for the Conservation of Contemporary Art); member of ICOM (International Council of Museums).
