He obtained his diploma as a Cultural Heritage Conservator in 2004 from the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, with a dissertation on the restoration project and cleaning challenges of Giotto’s Ognissanti Cross (supervisors: P. Bracco, O. Ciappi, M. Ciatti, G. Lanterna). He collaborated on the restoration of the Ognissanti Cross from 2005 to 2010, working alongside Paola Bracco. In 2011–12 he participated in the Temart Project of the Tuscany Region, carrying out activities coordinated by the OPD as partner institution.

Since 2018 he has been a conservator officer in the Paintings on Canvas and Panel department. At the SAFS OPD PFP2 he teaches cleaning and inpainting.

He is currently restoring the Fano Altarpiece by Pietro Perugino, on which he has been working since November 2021.
