Curriculum

A State Archivist, she graduated in Political Sciences — with a political-administrative specialisation — from the University of Messina, and has continued her professional training in archival disciplines over the years. Having obtained the Diploma of Specialisation in Archivist-Palaeographer from the Scuola Speciale per Archivisti e Bibliotecari (SSAB) at La Sapienza in Rome, she simultaneously deepened her expertise in the Jean Monnet Action European Module on Information and Integration in the European Union: Archives and Libraries. She subsequently broadened her training with studies in the contemporary field. Following a specialist course run by the Scuola Nazionale dell’Amministrazione on the preservation of digital documents, she completed — with a final dissertation — the Advanced Training course in Contemporary Archival Studies held by the Archivio Centrale dello Stato. She further specialised by obtaining, from the University of Calabria, a second-level master’s diploma in Digital Document Conservation, and a second-level master’s diploma in the Formation, Management and Conservation of Digital Archives in Public and Private Contexts, held by the University of Macerata.

Since January 2020 she has been director of the OPD Archive (holdings: historical, deposit, contemporary and restoration), and since January 2014 has served as Records Manager, a role established under Presidential Decree 445/2000 and AgID regulations.

She has held a number of technical positions with both internal and external significance, including: member of the archival and library commission at the Florence Export Office (from July 2022); OPD coordinator for the PNRR project — Stream 5 — Digitisation of Restoration Archives of the institutes under the Directorate-General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes of the Ministry of Culture (November 2021 to December 2023); scientific coordinator of the Working Group for the digitisation of the administrative activities of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence (March 2021 to January 2022); member, from December 2015, of the Supervisory Commission on Archives and Document Disposal at the OPD, acting as chair until 31 July 2022.

In addition to serving as point of contact for the processing of sensitive and judicial personal data (2018–19), she has chaired or served on various OPD commissions, and from 1999 to 2011 provided legal-administrative coordination and support for the SAFS Secretariat.

She has been course leader since 2016 for the subject M-STO/08, Archival Studies, Bibliography and Library Science — archival studies module — at the School of Advanced Training and Studies of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure.
