Curriculum
Federica Cappelli graduated in Art History from the University of Florence and in 2004 obtained her diploma in Cultural Heritage Conservation from the School of Advanced Training and Studies of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, specialising in Mosaic and Pietre Dure Inlay. For several years she worked as a freelance conservator in the field of cultural heritage conservation for Soprintendenze and public institutions, maintaining an ongoing collaboration with the Opificio throughout. Since 2012 she has been a member of staff at the Ministry of Culture, and currently works at the Opificio in the Mosaic and Pietre Dure Inlay Department, where she is involved in the restoration of mosaic, pietre dure inlay, stone tarsia and scagliola works, as well as teaching at the SAFS.
