Training internships

Subject

Internships undertaken within the framework of agreements between the Institute and universities are designed to support theoretical–technical or technical–scientific projects. They do not, however, include any hands-on intervention on objects undergoing conservation and restoration treatment in the Institute’s specialist sectors.

Admission

Applications for internships should be submitted by email to: opd.tirocini@cultura.gov.it, indicating the department or service for which the application is intended, together with the applicant’s curriculum vitae and the proposed duration of the internship.
The Institute reserves the right to accept or decline applications and to determine the timing and arrangements of internships, taking into account the number of applications received by each department or service and the availability of suitable supervisors.

Admission Requirements

The Institute accepts curricular internships only.
For internships within the conservation and restoration laboratories, applicants are required to possess not only specific theoretical and technical knowledge, but also a sound practical background in the methodologies relevant to the specialisation for which they are applying.
Priority is given to applications from Italian and international Higher Education Schools for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, as well as from institutions of recognised standing in the field of conservation and restoration.
